sidewinder force feedback pro 1.0

After installing XP I was able to add my sidewinder force feedback pro 1.0 in the game controller section of the control panel. The joystick works, but without any force feedback, and I cannot figure out to program the buttons and create profiles. The original software that came with the joystick (3.2) is only for 98 and will not load with XP. Any suggestions would help!
