Even on a fast connection, some sidebar gadgets can slow the whole machine
down.. tell your friend to go to the 'Weather Network' website and download
the 'notification area' versions which do not take so much out of
performance.
The problem with slowing down weather updates to refresh every hour maybe,
especially in the UK and Canada, is that one can experience all four seasons
within that time period, making mockery of what the gadget or icon might be
showing..
