SID Enumeration Problem

T

T. Kirkpatrick

I am running Windows Server 2000 Ver 5.00.2195 SP 4 -
SIDs from a trusted domain in another forest are not
enumerating. Local Domain SIDs enumerate properly. If a
user is added from a trusted domain the SID will then be
over written with the emumeration from the trusted
doamin. The enumerated SID will then revert back to the
SID with in several minutes.
Enumeration of SIDs from the trusted doamin has worked
properly for about 8 months.
What could have I inadvertily done to cause the SID
enumeration to stop ?

One more note: I am running this on a Dell Poweredge
2500. This machine takes approx 15 minutes to complete a
reboot.
I fell this is too long. Dell's responce was that this
lenght of time is nothing abnormal. I would like to here
some options on this.

Thanks in advance for any advise or help.

Hello,

Please check the availability of the DC in the trusted domain at the time
when the SIDs
are being displayed for the group or user name and also test for the
connectivity between
the DC in the local domain to the DC in the trusted domain.
