I am having the same problem with one of my clients, somebody stole her
Windows 2000 SP4 PDC, it was replaced and all 5 XP Pro SP1 workstations
trust relationships were lost. The only problem is that if I change these
back from domain to workgroup, it stops using the user's current profile
with all of the desktop settings, etc. I tried it both ways, logged on as
Administrator of the given workstation and as Shirley who is the user (user
has administrator rights) I spent hours trying to do it with Netdom.exe

Event ID: 5513 Source: NETLOGON

The computer Shirley tried to connect to the server \\OFFICE using the trust
relationship established by the OFFICE domain. However, the computer lost
the correct security identifier (SID) when the domain was reconfigured.
Reestablish the trust relationship.

The server and all workstations are all current with Windows Update and are
virus free according to Kaspersky Anti-Virus & Trend Micro Housecall free
online scan.
