Shutdown script at shutdown

I have the need to run a script when the user does a start/shutdown. Or
alt/f4 shutdown or whatever.

I just need to get a script to run before the shutdown process begins.

Is this at all possible.

Thanks in advance.

Use the Microsoft Management Console to add the group policy snap-in. The
place for adding scripts for startup or shutdown is, Local Computer
Policy/Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Scripts

Thanks for the responses.

Beb,

I thought that this is what it might come to. Problem is we have 100 plus
servers around the world owned by many diverse groups. A simple script would
have been OK, having to install the snapin would require OKs from many
different groups. It's all we can do now to get access to the servers we are
tasked to support/monitor.

Again, thanks to you both for your responses.
