When shutting down XP Pro normally, the computer keeps restarting. Any
idea

I had this problem with my laptop recently. I was aware that there was a
blue screen message just before it restarted. This was the advice I was
given.

Rocks advice:
automatically on errors, hence the restart. Login to windows. Right click
My Computer | Properties | Advanced tab | Settings (Under Startup and
Recovery). Untic the box to automatically restart on error.

Now if the computer errors on turning it off, it should stop at the blue
screen and display the message. Copy it down verbatim. First step is to
research the stop code here:<<<<

Hope this is of use to you.

When shutting down XP Pro normally, the computer keeps restarting. Any idea
how this can be resolved other than hitting the switch? Thanks
