shut-down issue

When doing a normal shut-down, I get a warning" END
PROGRAM NOT RESPONDING" and imediatelly I get a screen
saying "TFSWCTRL.EXE" not responding click "END NOW" the
I get another screen saying "EXPLORER.EXE" not
responding, click on "END NOW" and computer goes through
a normal shut-down.Upo booting up iget message "THE
SYSTEM HAS RECOVERED FROM A SERIOUS ERROR. PLEASE TELL
MICROSOFT ABOUT THIS PROBLEM" you must have at least 10
reports from me about this issue. this happens everytime
I use the computer.
Computer s/n MX24634058 Pressario model 6350US. pentium 4
512 ram 80 g. hard drive. Product # 55277-OEM-0011903-

tfswctrl.exe

Drive letter access to HP's and Veritas' version of DirectCD.
Does the same thing as DirectCD. From HP - "This is a needed
file as it controles the readability of the Combo drives. Without
this file loading the end user will be able to burn CD's but wont
be able to read them. The drive itself will be able to read store
bought master Cd's without the file but not burnt ones"

The file/program is possibly corrupt?

Uninstall, then reinstall your DirectCD program.
