Yeah. I want to know too... This "sleeping" button is so unuseful...
That is polite.

When basic "Gadgets" like Clock and Weather do not restart, when you
resume, is not what I would call a useful feature :^)

I guess, I never thought Hibernate was useful, because I came from a
Desktop Database background, where Hibernating with an Locked, Open
table, caused all sorts of ill problems for other users sharing said
data.

RC1 (32 bit), 5600 Ultimate on a desktop (with APC UPS)
Looking at the Power Options page.
Current setting choice is High performance.
On the left I have:
Require password on wake up
Choose what the power button does, which seems to apply to the
Hardware button on the CPU box.
Create a power plan
Choose when to turn off display
Change when computer sleeps

No Advanced anything in sight.
The red power button on the start menu still makes the computer
"sleep".

Did you try "Change Plan Settings" (not on the left, *under* the setting
choice)?
See previous post/answer.

Duh!
That default blue font is to subtle.
I was looking for a big "Advanced" button.

We need a Icon associated with Advanced items.

Maybe a Guru or Professor Character (Since Wizard has been co-opted
by auto configuration helpers). Dr Don Knuth used Curvy road signs in
his book on TeX to denote Advanced and/or dangerous concepts
I would suggest something similar be used for items that might render
a system unstable (or prove the operator was in that condition <G>)
