Showstopper problem with Outlook Connector for Notes

R

Rob V.

I am using the Outlook Connector for Lotus Notes. Until recently things
worked fine, but for no apparent reason I started getting pop-up boxes
saying

"An earlier attempt to download this message caused Outlook Connector for
Domino to stop working. Do you want to try downloading it again?"

(I have to choose 'No' , since 'Yes' will only get the pop-up back
immediately).

I have googled for this error message, but I did not find anything.

The frequency of these pop-ups has increased so much that Outlook has become
unuseable: every few seconds I get one of these popus, which interrupt an
email I'm typing. I have rebuilt my outlook.nst file, but this has not
solved the problem.
I have enabled Outlook logging, but there is nothing in the output that
makes any sense to me (if someone wants to have a look at that file, you're
most welcome...)

I hate to say it but this forces me to abandon Outlook and use Notes
instead.
Any hints are appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Rob V.

Can you determine which message is causing this?? If so delete it from the
server and see if your issue is solved now.

No, that's one of the problems: there are zero clues as to which message
this error would refer to. The popups just keep hitting me like a
hailstorm...
I had a small hope of finding smething in the log file, but that's just to
cryptic to make sense of for anyone but the engineer who wrote the code....

TIA,
