I have a new Windows XP Professional PC that I just
purchased. The problem that I have with it is that when
I drag an icon across the desktop, I cannot see the icon
while I am dragging it, but when I let go of the mouse
button, it does appear in the new location. I don't have
the active desktop turned on, and I do have the setting
checked user Display Properties, Appearance, Effects,
Show window contents while dragging. I also tried
updating and downreving my display drivers. I also tried
creating a new profile, but it follows the computer,
regardless of which account is logged in. Again, when I
drag icons accross by desktop, I cannot see the icon
while dragging it until I let go of the mouse button,
then the icon reappears in the new spot (supposed to be a
shaddow icon while dragging). I am completely stumped.
If anyone has any pointers (besides reinstalling, I would
really appreciate it. Please post it here rather than
emailing me. Thanks, Nick
