show count at bottom of screen

Can I make the font larger on the sum/count/avg, etc. bar at the bottom of
the excel window?

Not within excel.

Maybe there's a setting under the display applet in control panel.

But keep track of any changes you make so you can change it back if it affects
other stuff.
