Ok I want to start a small online business and I am fairly new to this and someone told me I need to get a SSL on my site to make the credit card transactions secure. now i was looking here:

http://www.hostmywebsitenow.com

(sorry i do not know how to make a Url link button that you can click on so you'll just have to copy and paste the url)

And it has SSL, but under the 'domain names' tab is has something called "certified domain". Now can i use this instead of SSL or should I get both or just SSL?

You would still require a SSL, all a Certified Domain Seal does is confirm the Contact Information for the domain name.

SSL Certificates are readily available from around £15 GBP.
