Having created a new input mask on a telephone number field, Access has
applied it to some existing records but not all. All numbers have been
entered in the same format. Does anyone know why?

An Input Mask will only help in the entry of NEW data.
Depending upon whether your mask is set up to be saved with the data
or not, the data will still be stored in the old non-masked format.
To save the Mask with the data, the right-most characters of the mask
should be ;0; with possibly an _ at the end.

An example of a U.S. phone mask that will store the mask with the data
would be:
!\(999") "000\-0000;0;_
See Access help on Input Mask.

To change existing data to include the mask you will have to run an
Update query. You haven't posted your mask, nor exactly what your data
looks like, so I can't do that for you now.
Note also that this is an international forum. Your idea of a phone
mask may not be the same as others in other countries. You'll need to
be specific.
