I would like to know if it is possible to configure my win
2k pro pc and server, that when i share a folder any other
pc on the network can access it without a user name or
password and without having to be a user created on my pc
or enabling the guest account.
I belive i have to bypass kerberos does anybody know how?
any assistance in this regard would be greatly appreciated
..

You can accomplish that by enabling the guest account on that machine and
including the everyone group in share/ntfs permissions. Keep in mind that
this is only recommended in a network of trusted users and if connected to
the internet, a properly configured firewall is an absolute must. If you
have other shares on that machine that you do not want to give access to
everyone, make sure that the everyone group is not in the ntfs permissions
and use authenticated users instead of users group for permissions.
Authenticated users group does not include guest or anonymous. --- Steve
