Sharing programs with other users

I installed Microsoft Word while under my user ID on XP
Home Addition and got an icon on my desktop. But the
program doesn't appear in my Start menu under All
Programs. Other users on my computer do not have the
icon on their desktop and therefore cannot access
Microsoft Word under their user ID's, they have to switch
to my user ID and click on the desktop icon. What did I
do wrong? And how can I fix it?

Open Windows Explorer (the file manager, not the Internet browser) and in
the left hand pane navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start
Menu\Programs, where <username> is your username. Click once on Programs.
In the right hand pane, locate the icon for Word.

Now, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs.
Go back to the icon for Word, RIGHT click it and select Copy from the pop up
menu. Go back to the All Users\Start Menu\Programs. RIGHT click on
Program, and click Paste.
