Sharing Internet from 98se to xp

I have an amd 1600+ with win98se trying to share over to an intel 2600
box running xp.. Just using standard ics the 98 puter will have the
dsl modem driver screwed up with any attempt to add ics resulting in a
reinstall of my internet software and the undoing to any sharing
attributes.

The xp box will share over to the 98 but the connection is so slow it
is just a waste.. Any help would be great.

I think you problem might be the kerberos authentication
on the XP machine. The XP machine cannot access the 98
machine quickly. I have accessed article KB322097 and
reinstalled the Sp1, but the version of the DLL in the
service pack is 5.1.2600.1106, while the version
referenced in Article to perform the fix is 2.1.2600.46

I have removed the kerberos DLL and reinstalled, but the
version remains the same. I think Microsoft has
performed a whoops in the Sp1 update because my folder
access is extremely slow from the xp machine to the 98
machine. Other machines are fine, but every xp machine
on my workgroup has a hard time accessing the 98 machines
until timeout occurs.
