sharing folder

Im trying to hide my files and folders from other users on my computer. it
wont allow me to click on the make this folder private check box.
i have to hard drives, the main one is fat32 which has my documents on it,
and the second i haveformatted to ntfs, but still doesnt seem to let me make
any folders private.

please help.
