Sharing Contacts

I have a single computer that my wife and I share. We use
Windows XP and Office XP 2002 and we have our own user
names. How can we share the same Contact List in Office?
I want to be able to make an updated entry in Contacts
under my own user name that will carry out the updated
entry in the very same Contact list when my wife opens
Contacts under her user name and vica versa. Any ideas?

Configure your Outlook Profile to use the same PST file.

Is it possible to have one common shared contacts list and two personal
contact lists? I'm using Outlook 2003. Thanks.

Clarify your question.

Russ, I had quoted all the relevant parts of the message because my
situation is similar to the original poster's, i.e. two people sharing
one PC (Windows XP Home, SP1). Each one has our own logon, but we would
still like to share a contacts database of common friends and family.

It would be OK to have just one overall database (which you suggested by
using the same PST file), but I was asking about each one of us having
a personal contacts datbase, but then sharing a secondary, common
contact database to look up family.

Hope I didn't leave anything out...oh yeah, Outlook 2003 Pro. No
exchange server involved.

You can certainly create a second PST file to hold these common Contacts and
add this PST to each Outlook profile. Bear in mind that only one user can
access a PST at a time, and that only one PST can be the default in a
profile.
