Sharing a printer

I have created a shared printer in my printers folder. I have a lap top that
I connect to my router, and I know they are talking because I can ping back
and forth with a reply. When I go to start run and type in the host name of
the PC that has the shared printer, I get a log in prompt. How can I
configure this PC to allow access? I try to use my login and password and I
have admin rights, but it won't authenticate.

I would like to be able to configure without the login and just have shared
items displayed. The OS is Windows XP Home SP2.

Add the login name and password as an Admin on the PC that has the printer
attached (to match the login and pw on the notebook)
