Shared printer

DAN

For reasons to complicated to explain i have had to run on
of the printers in my office as a shared printer from one
of the users pc's, and not through my print server as all
the others are.

The majority of machines are win98 and no problem with
this printer, however 4 machines are running xp home and
this is where my problem occurs. Although the xp useres
are able to see the machine hosting the printer, when they
try to connect to it no printer is shown as being shared.

Anyone got any ideas why this is, and if there is a way to
resolve it?

Thanks in advance

Dan

Hi Dan --

Is the machine that's working as the server Win98 or XP? If it's Win98,
that's probably your problem. I'm not sure you'll be able to find a
one-size-fits-all solution on a heterogeneous network like that.
