How can I allow a delegate to view my shared folder email without marking it
as read when they are finished?

You jusyt need to adjust their Reading Pane or Preview Pane settings. You
forgot to mention your version of Outlook and this function's name was
changed a while ago.

Go to their computer and take a look at Tools | Options | Other | Reading
Pane/Preview Pane and have it stop marking items as Read.
