Shared Fax Server win 2000

nick

hi all,
is there a way to install "Shared Fax component" from
sbs 2000 to win2000.
i have a small network (win 2000 server,5*winxp client)
i want to be able to share a fax printer with my users(fax
server and clients), but i think it's not possible in
w2k.however in sbs 2000 you can acomplish the same goal
with Shared Fax Server, share modem clients or something
like that.
how can i do this in windows 2000?

Sharing of a fax printer is not supported on Win2k. You will have to use
SBS2k to achieve that.

Why!? It's stupid that you can do it on a smaller server! I have just
inhertited a larger network with full Windows 2000 Servers and can't believe
that I could set up shred fax facilities for my previous SBS2000 network but
I can't for my "grown up" network, it's stupid - for gods sake MS
THINK!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to shout but it's stupid!

You got the thing entirely wrong. SBSX is always supposed to be better (have
more features) than Windows Server X. So SBS 2000 is more powerful than
Windows 2000 Server. SBS is an integrated box with some servers on it out of
the box. For more info on SBS please refer to
http://www.microsoft.com/sbserver/default.asp
