I have been using BCM for over a year but I was unaware my database server
was disconnected and I was working with a cached copy for 10 months. When
upgrading our servers and reconfiguring the desktop logins, all my contact
data for 10 months was lost since BCM assumed I would be synching to the
database at some point. This isn't my current issue though. I now have a
new shared database for myself and another computer in my office to share.
Now when I send an email or swap between mail, contacts or calendar, the
system freezes up taking about 20 seconds to let go and allow me to continue
working. What is that all about? What can I do to access my database and
not incur performance of a 286 PC from 1990 running Windows? When I'm
"off-line" using Outlook, my performance is back thus making me believe that
it is an issue with BCM.
