shared borders

I cannot access my "_borders" folder. I know it exists ,because I get an error if I try to create it myself.I want to use bottom shared borders for my pages, but every time I create a bottom border I cannot edit it.

Tools | Web Settings | Advanced tab, enable viewing of hidden directories.

Wording may be different depending on the version of FP you are using.

Yes, I don't have access to my machine with FP2003 loaded.

But.. Go to Tools | Site Setting or Authoring Options, etc. and look for the function to view hidden
directories or folders.

Thanks Thomas,
I am using FP 2003.
Maybe I should have mentioned that none of the other FP folders such as _private etc are
accessible. I am doing edits to a previously created website and it seems the option to view these
folders are turned off. Is there an option in FP to view all hidden files ?

First open a FP Site (not just a page in the site) using File Open Site or File Recent Sites
Then use Tools Site Settings Advanced - show hidden folders
You make sure FP is configured to allow shared borders using:
Tools Page Options Authoring and turn them on under Author Time Web Components
