Share out C Drive Query

Running WinXp and I am trying to share-out my C Drive on my laptop so that I
can connect to it over a network. I done the obvious, went in to Sharing and
Security and checked the 2 required boxes but I still can't access it over
the network. What am I doing wrong? I've shared out the My Documents part
the same way and that works fine

Thanks

What sort of network? What is the error message? If a home network, then
did you add a user account/password identical to the one(s) on the
computer requesting the resources onto the XP laptop? Are all computers
in the same workgroup? If a domain, did you add the user account of the
laptop onto the server?

Here are some links to help you with networking:

Its a simple peer-to-peer, but I can't see how I can connect to My Documents
on my Laptop from a PC and not to the Shared out C Drive on the laptop from
the same PC.

The error message that appears when I try to connect to the C drive is "\\\
<Laptop name> is not accessible, Access is denied. But I can connect to My
Documents on the laptop
