Shadow tabs on the absolute right edge in Word

I'm trying to create a shadow tab in Word. This would replace the need for
using Avery Tabs to divide sections. The shadow tab is a black box on the
absolute right edge of the paper so people can see where a new section
begins. I've worked for about an hour and half trying to create the shadow
tabs in Word. Unfortunately, I don’t think the shadow tabs will work in
Microsoft Word. It looks right in the normal view, but will not print on the
absolute edge. There's always a thin white line like a gutter. I've tried
everything -- adjusting the margins to zero, absolute positioning, tables,
objects.

It's not a Word problem; it's a limitation of your printer. Very few
printers can print all the way to the edge.

Hi Corey,

This is not Word's fault, it's your printer driver. Some printer drivers
allow printing to the edge of the paper (sometimes called a "bleed"), but
many won't. Word can only print what the driver allows.
