Settings not saved on restart?

Whenevr I restart my computer all of my personal settings are lost. This
includes prefrences as to window size and locations, as well as the history
on my browsers and other items. How can I fix this?

The Registry has a Key that disables "Save Settings at Shutdown".

hello,

i was wondering if this fix works for settings in a software package. my
preferences, like the ones posted below are saved. my preferences/settings
for one package are not saved.

Which program/package? Have you tried the edit, have you tried to contact
their support/forums for similar issues, questions?
