Settings for toggling merge fields to see the nested codes

Is there a setting somewhere I need to change in my Word options so that when
I hit the Alt+F9 keys, I can see the nested codes? I used to be able to see
the nested codes, etc. when I hit Alt+F9 but lately I've had to start over
with Word 2007 being reinstalled. Don't know what made it work before and
not now. When I click Alt+F9 now, it just shows the merge field as is and
doesn't give me the "formula" view.

Ooops...sorry...it is Word 2003 SP3 I am using...not Word 2007.

Hi VSlaybaugh,

Unless someone has re-assigned the Alt-F9 keystroke combo, it should still toggle the field code display. The alternative approach
is to go to Tools|Options|View and check/uncheck the field codes option.
