setting up security....

Don

I was in the process of setting up user security in Access
2002 and had finished setting up a new Workgroup. Before
doing anything else I inadvertently brought up the
Workgroup Adnimistrator window again and clicked on Join
group thinking I would be able to edit the Workgroup. Not
so! Now any database I want to open asks for a password
before opening it. I can't give a password because I
haven't created one for me yet. I haven't created any
users or adminstrators either. I'm in a catch 22
situation! I need to somehow either create a password for
me or delete whatever file is controlling this on my local
drive.

Please, ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

THANKS in advance!

The password for the default Admin user is blank, unless you've changed it.
If that doesn't work, try finding and rejoining the system.mdw file. To
modify permissions, open the db you wish to modify and select Tools -
Security then select from the resultant menu selections.
