Setting up email

Sherry

I am using Outlook 2000, Windows XP. Trying to set up
email to receive mail from NetZero. When I go into Tools
and Services, NetZero instructed me to look for "Internet
E-mail - NetZero". This does not appear. If it doesn't
appear click on Add and then highlight "Internet Mail".
This does not appear either. I don't know what to do.
Please help.

Thanks,
Sherry

It sounds like you have Outlook 2000 configured in Corporate/Workgroup mode
rather than in Internet Mail Only mode -- do you know offhand if that's the
case? If so, are you connecting to an Exchange server or is there another
reason for being in CW mode?

If you don't know what CW mode is then you probably don't need it and should
reconfigure to IMO mode instead -- that will make it much easier for you to
add and use Internet mail accounts. See
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/choosingmode.htm for information on the two
modes and for reconfiguration instructions. Once you're in IMO mode, you
would go into Tools | Accounts (notice it's "Accounts" now, not "Services")
and say you want to add a mail account, and then take it from there.
