setting up client printing on RDP

Joe

Hello,
I am setting up a windows 98 client to RDP to an XP home workstation. I need
to know the exact setup process to have Win98 print drivers on the XP
worstation to provide automatic mapped client printer services from the
windows 98 client local printer. Please redirect me to documentation to
resolve this process. I found documentation for Terminal Services and
Windows 2003 , but nothing so far on just a single XP workstation setup .
Thank you.

Sorry, that won't work. Only Win XP Pro can host Remote Desktop connections.
There are other options (such as VNC) if you can't for some reason upgrade
the XP box to Pro. Or did you perhaps mean you have an XP Pro box at *home*
?

Given XP Pro as the host - you need the latest Remote Desktop client on the
Win98 PC:

Then enable local printer redirection in the properties of the connection.

Printers That Use Ports That Do Not Begin With COM, LPT, or USB Are Not
Redirected in a Remote Desktop or Terminal Services Session
