setting security on backend

Let me preface this by saying I have read most if not all of the articles
relating to security that are frequently recommended thru this site. I
thought I understood what I was doing but apparently I missed something.
I am running access 2003 and have a split database. I used the security
wizard to create a new mdw file and apply security to the front end database.
This seems to work perfectly. I can only open the datbase from the shortcut
that points to the mdw file. If I try to open it with the default security,
I get an error - perfect.
The problem comes with the backend. I also used the security wizard on the
backend using the same mdw file I used on the front(opened the FE with the
shortcut and then opened the unsecured backend, then used security wizard).
It opens fine from the shortcut using the mdw file. However, I can also open
the BE with default security. In my mdw file the admin is only a member of
the user group and the user group has no permissions in my database. I can't
figure out what I did wrong. I have tried several times and always with the
same result. The FE works find but not the BE.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Try establishing security without the wizard.
