Setting permissions to a NT 4.0 box from Win2K

Is it alright to administer a Winnt 4.0 server from a
Win2000 computer (i.e. set file/folder permissions etc.)I
heard that the security attributes are different, but does
it have the potential to screw things up? Please help.

I have never had any problems at all, whether I'm in 2000 or XP Pro,
managing NT servers.
