Setting help to default to local resources

In Word 2003 I am often off line. Is it possible to have Help default to
local files instead of online?

until you restart the program.

Yes. In fact, if you're not connected, that IS the default, but it's often
an annoyance to have Word looking for online Help even when you ARE on
online. Press F1 to bring up the generic Help pane. At the bottom of the
pane, click Online Content Settings. The relevant one is "Search online
content when connected." The rest are your call.
