Setting default printer for Office

I have just loaded up Basic Office 03 and in Word (have not tried Excel) I
cant print to my HP from the tool bar (It says Microsoft Image writer).
Under file/print I can change the printer selection from Image writer to my
HP and it prints to the HP but the moment u go out of word and then re-enter
Word it has reverted to Image Writer again. How can I change the printer!

Is your HP set as the default printer in the "Printers and Faxes" list under

I have the same problem but it is caused because every time I restart my
system I find the default printer has changed to the Office Image Writer in
spite of my prior setting! It looks like a lot of people are having this
problem and think they have mistakenly done this themselves. This is not
friendly behavior. Will someone from Microsoft please respond?
