Yes, you can add a password. Write it down somewhere and put it where you
will not lose it. This doesn't mean on a yellow Post-It stuck to your
monitor unless you live alone.
There is no password for the OS because it uses NTAuthority credintials.
Accounts use passwords, and there is no account named NTAuthority. Your
problem is that the account you designated to run the scheduled task has no
password.
When logged on as administrator, go to the control panell, and select User
Accounts. You can set/unset passwords for any account there.
