I have a windows XP SP 2 pc on a domain, but running querysntp on it shows it
is using time.windows.com as its time source instead of the domain controller
- how do I change this,

thanks,

Your time is coordinated with Fort Collins Colorado,
What is the problem?

The time server time.windows.com is operated by Microsoft. The time server
time.nist.gov is operated by the U.S. government.

time.nist.gov is the atomic clock maintained by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado. You were close.

the issue is simply that computers on my network should be getting their time
from their domain controller. it does not matter that time.windows.com or
whatever has the right time or not. I am trying to find out what setting
tells a computer to get its' time internally as oppose to externally

If your computer is a member of a domain, your computer clock is *probably*
synchronized automatically by a network time server. If your computer is not
a member of a domain, you can synchronize your computer clock with an
Internet time server.

The Internet Time tab is not available if your computer is a member of a
domain.
