Steve says: > and the steps are different for each, so they're given
separately.
I don't think we are talking about the same thing.
I am saying two ways to make my own templates; #1 method: before the
pragraph "In PowerPoint 2003 and later, you can set a template to be used for
all new presentations." and #2 method: after that sentense. -- How to make my
own template? #1, save as Blank.pot, or #2, save as *.pot. -- That's the only
way I could read and understand this article. Wrong?
Steve says: > As long as its saved in the correct location, it should, yes.
What do you mean by that? This is exactly the problem I am having reading
that article!
According to the article, it doesn't seem to be any freedom on my side as to
where to save it. It clearly says, '4.Click Save. PowerPoint automatically
chooses the correct folder for you, so accept the default location.'
Thus, I questioned where and how I could retrieve the original default
template if indeed my own template (Blank.pot) replaced Original-default.pot.
All templates are supposed to appear when you do File>New>. Right? I don't
see any 'Delete' there either.
I said>#2. Save my template as AnyName.pot. It would come out as one of
'Available for use' templates. Yes?
Steve says>As long as its saved in the correct location, it should, yes.
AnyName.pot also goes to Template folders? No? Is there any freedom on my
side as to where to save? Yes?
I said> Then, what if I don't want keep my template as a blank presentatio
template? Could I bring the default blank template back?
Steve says>> Follow the same instructions for choosing a template to use for
all new presentations but choose "Default Design.pot"
In the first place, where is "Default Design.pot"? I don't see anything by
that name any place I visited even though I am sure there are more places I
don't know. So, where is it?
I said> And, how could I delete my templaet? In New Presentation dialogue box?
Steve say> Note where you saved it; use Windows Explorer to navigate there
and delete it or move it to another folder.
I guess I already asked for this. Thx for your help.
