Set default: paste unformated text

How can I, in Word 2002, set the default paste format to be unformatted?

For instance, I copy from the web and type Ctrl.+V in word. I want to have
the text have Word's formatting, not the web's every time.

Hi Matthew,

You can do this, but you may not want to: Record a macro that
does your usual Paste Special-> Unformatted Text. Name the
macro EditPaste and store it in Normal.dot (where it'll land
anyway unless you say different). That now replaces Word's
built-in Paste command. As I say, you'll likely find this is
not what you want all the time, so a better solution is to
assign the macro (named something else) to a shortcut key
combination and use it instead.
