Set basic VPN between my 2 homes with WinXPSP2+Win2kSP4 & dsl rout

I have WinXPSP2 at my home1 with an adsl router on my LAN Card using NAT.
I have used the built-in wizard to create a VPN.
I use the website www.whatismyip.com to know my WAN IP on my 2 PCs, and I
set this IP in the wizard.
I have Win2KSP4 at my home2 with an adsl router on my LAN Card using NAT.
But from my home1 I cannot connect to my home2, with error 800, and it tells
me that it because my VPN server is incorrectly set.
What does it mean ?
Do I need to use Win2K Server at my home2 ?
What do I have to do ?
Oh, by the way, the error message tells me to not use NAT.
So what to do on my 2 routers, and will it work or what ?
Thanks.

In most cases, VPN error 800 is port issue. Does the router is VPN pass through router? Have you points the port 1723 to the XP computers?

Thanks.
I am not sure my router is VPN pass-through.
How to check that ?
I dont understand how to point the port 1723 to the XP computer.
And morover I dont have 2 XP computers, I have 1 XP on site1, and 1 2000 on
site2.
But still I dont understand what to do on the Win2000 PC of site2, in order
to connect to it, from the XP PC of site1.
I have easily set up my VPN client on XP site1, but I dont understand what
to do on Win2000 PC of site2.
Do I need a Windows Server instead of workstation on site2, in order to
connect to it from site1, or can it be done with workstations on both sides
only, and how ?
Thanks.
