Alright.. i'm getting this message when trying to use iTunes- and i'm
completely baffled why.

**BEFORE you read further - yes I have posted this on the iTunes support
forums - but to no avail as of yet..**

"iTunes could not open a secure connection to the Music Store.

Check that your computer's date and time are correct and try again."

alright.. i've disabled all Firewalls possible.. i made my computer open to
the world (all ports open, no restrictions).. and that didn't work.

I have newest version of iTunes (4.7)

so I check my time, and make sure that Windows Time is running, and updating
my time. The Windows Time service is running properly (services.msc) .. i
seem to be having a slight problem with that though..

I'll goto the windows date and time and force and update and i get this
message:

"An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com.
For security reasons, Windows can not synchronize with the server because
your date does not match. Please fix the date and try again.

The time was most recently synchronized on 11/13/2001 at 8:01"

notice the last line.. that happens to be the time that I forced an update..
so it seems to be contradicting itself - i'm very very confused..

any tech savvy person have a clue? I'm guessing it has something to do with
the Windows Time..
