Service Pack Problems

Hi,

I am currently trying to update my windows XP to SP1. However I get the following message when I attempt to do so :

There is not enough space on c:\windows\$NtSerivePackUnistall$ to install Service Pack 1. Setup requires a minimum of 2 additional megabytes of free space or if you also want to acrhive the files for uninstillation, Setup requires 32 additional megabytes of free space. Free additional space on your hard drive and try again.

This occurs with either service pack 1 or 1a and both the express and netowrk install version. Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can rectify this? I have 4 gigabytes of free hard drive space.

Thanks in advance,
