Service pack 2 for Windows 2000 installation fail

Guest

With the current installation file for Service Pack 2 (windows 2000) the
installation wizard requires me to connect to the internet.
As I need SP 2 to connect to the internet I'm unable to install the above SP2.

Is there a installation file which doesn't require connection to the
internet at the same time?

thanks in advance

There is a full version designed to be used by administrators across a
network--so yes, what you are looking for exists and can be downloaded.

Are you sure you want Service pack 2 for Windows 2000?

Why not go to Service pack 4, which is the current level--they are
cumulative--so you can skip 2 and go directly to 4.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/260910

is the place to start, and that, for SP2, leads me to this page:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp2/sp2en.mspx

from which I pick the network installation--scroll down.\

For SP4, the equivalent page is here:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp4/sp4Eng.mspx

Again, choose the "network installation" download.
