Hi,

Does anyone who use Office 2003 Professional with Business Contact Manager
install the Service Pack 2 Update?
Have you noticed that there is a problem about Outlook 2003 with BCM?
I can not use Outlook after installing Service Pack 2 Update and I hope
someone could help me.

Thanks.

I got exactly the same error as Kenny got.

Look at the following description:
When I restarted the computer I received: "Outlook failed to start correctly
last time. Starting Outlook in safe mode will help you correct or isolate a
startup problem in order to successfully start the program. Some funtionality
may be disabled in this mode. Do you want to start Outlook in safe mode?" I
answered "no" because I don't know what to do in safe mode. Then the Outlook
box popped up and Norton Internet Security popped up: "Program Control.
OUTLOOK.EXE is attempting to connect to a DNS server. What do you want to
do?" I responded with "Always allow connections...". The program froze up and
I received "Program is not responding."

Allow it to start in Safe mode. Safe mode is normal Outlook without any
add-ins or customizations.
Then the Outlook box popped up and
Norton Internet Security popped up: "Program Control. OUTLOOK.EXE is

Something in NIS is giving you trouble. Talk to Symantec. Their products
are well-known for not playing well with Outlook.
