Service Pack 2 doesn't work

The other day, I installed Windows XP Service Pack 2, and when I
restarted the computer, I got the blue screen of death, and it would
just restart. It did this quickly enough that I couldn't see the error
message on the BSOD, so I booted up in safe mode, uninstalled Service
Pack 2, and everything worked fine. Does anyone know how to fix this
problem?

Very difficult to come up with a fix without any more information.
Open Event Viewer and research the error messages that might be
present in the System Log and Application Log. Pay particular
attention to Dr. Watson listings. Re-post back here with these
errors and someone can start figuring them out.
