Service causing hang at startup

Hi

When I log on to WinXP something causes the startup of my tray programs to
hang. I know that it is a service because when I disable the Microsoft
services the startup runs smoothly.

The problem is such that only the speaker icon appears in the tray at
startup. I can use windows as usual, then after ca. 5 minutes the McAfee
Virusscan and the other tray icons start.

How do I figure out which Microsoft service is the cause of the problem?
