when logging on to Frontpage. After name and password are entered, get error
saying....
Server Error:cannot open file "/web/_vti_pvt/frontpg.lnk" for reading.
What does this mean? And how is this remedied??

By any chance was this web copied to / from a CD??
If so you need to remove the "Read only" attributes from all of the files in the web.

Using Frontpage 2003 and have changed nothing in any settings. It is a
website for a horse association that we have for our state. There are two of
us (people) using the same user name and password from different locations.
The other user is still able to log on to edit, while I am being locked out
with this server error. Of course the persons responsible for the website
must be off on vacation and cannot get any calls back. We have both used
the same user and password in the past, in fact, have been on the phone and
on the site together with the same user, password deal. So in answer to your
second question, am not sure where the web is located. Nothing is saved to
my harddrive, as far as htmls, or files. If he is still able to log in and
edit, what is stopping me?
Thanks for your help Steve.
