I continually receive this message when trying to access e-mail through
Windows Mail. I've checked my e-mail settings, I've replaced Norton with
Avast anti-virus software and I've turned off e-mail scanning in Avast, and I
still get this message. What else do I need to do?

Try showing us the entire error message, not just a summary of it. We often
need parts of it you wouldn't expect.

Some want the username entered as (e-mail address removed) and some just want frank
