Is there a way to merge Server installation CD with service pack 4, so when
it is installed the service pack 4 is already applied?

Be sure to apply these to your new install before connecting to any network.

I never did have time to work out how to use Bart's method, although it
looks cool.

I have successfully slipstreamed 2000 Pro/Server/Adv Server XP/Home/Pro
without any difficulties. I also add onto the made CDs AV software, firewall
stuff, and loads of other stuff that saves the IT department time changing
CDs for a new build.

I store these as ISO's on a server just in case the CDs get damaged which is
pretty often in a school environment.

I use the method I documented at www.willowhayes.co.uk/windows2000, also
with many applications preinstalled. It really is a huge timesaver, not
just from the time saved feeding in CDs, but also the time saved in
supporting the systems once they're deployed, because everything is
installed consistently. But I don't need to tell you that -- you've already
seen the light. :)

Yep, I learned the hard way. Now after almost 2 years in the job things are
becoming standardised.
