serial port camera

trying to get digital camera to work with serial port
w2k recognizes the correct com 1 port in device manager,
have the latesr w2k driver for camera, all photo programs
recognize camera, but the port will not respond any help,
thank you

although i don't know what the problem is...
data transfer through the serial port is painfully slow...
i highly recommend that you use a USB cardreader
